Groupon and adding an extra person on

Hi all
I've used Groupon for a restaurant deal recently, and bought one voucher per couple as is the norm.
Like the look of the deal today, and it's another restaurant one, which we have wanted to try for a while.
I would like to take my dd as well this time, so my question is: Has anyone ever done this, effectively booked with groupon for the two people with the voucher, and then added on a 'full paying guest?
