The best thing they can do is to be as informed as possible --- even in DMP not all of the money they part with will find it's way to the creditors. Payplan are re-imbursed a percentage from the payment by the creditors, as, I imagine, are CCCS.
The way the IVA generally works, regarding fees, is that the IP proposes the fees to be taken from the payments at the creditors meeting. Often the creditors will reduce these, thereby increasing their share. But the actual fee is agreed between the IP and the creditors and taken from the repayments -- it is all very transparent and above board.0
