I am currently claiming for JSA income based for me and my wife. My wife recently won her Incapacity Benefit Tribunal appeal and is being paid Incapacity Benefit. What shall I do claim on her Incapacity Benefit claim or claim JSA just for me? I require a ABI1 form each month from the Jobcentre in order for my mortgage insurance payment to continue until I am in employment.

Is your wife claiming Incapacity Benefit or Employment Support Allowance?0

I don't think you can do a joint claim for IB but as you're claiming JSA as a joint claim you need to speak to the JC and tell them that your wife is now receiving IB. They'll be able to tell you if you need to change your claim.0
