What interest rate was available last June?

I know this sounds a bit silly, but i was offered 4% on my savings (a substantial sum) with Ulster Bank by the manager over the phone last June. Best i could get anywhere else was 3.8% at that time with competing banks. I duly accepted, but last week when i made enquiries for my tax form i was told i was getting only 3%. I said you are wrong as i have other money at 3.8% and you wouldn't have my money unless you matched or beat them. They are now denying that they offered that 4% rate to me and saying i am wrong. I would like to know if anyone else took out a 12 month saving, especially with ulster bank, and what interest you were offered. (No need to mention amounts. lets all stay safe.)

Didn't do any 12 month bonds at the time, but my memory was that 3.75%-ish was about the going rate for 12 months. Less than 3% for instant access. I did put a slice into Close Brothers 6 months notice at 3.25%, reckoning that this was 'very good' at the time. [Still is].0
