I know i'm being a bit previous but it makes me all excited,is that true that i can get my weekends back and give up my second pt job/do i have to get the sack or can i just say stuff this? I work 27 and a half hours term time and 14 on the till at Mr S per week. I hit 60 years of age in May and I heard that from April I can claim WTC on 16 hours only instead of 30.please tell me this true and not an illusion

Tax Credit changes- Some people can only get Working Tax Credit (WTC) if they work 30 or more hours a week. For example people without children. This is relaxed to 16 hours for those aged 60 and over.
- The second income threshold of £50,000 will reduce to £40,000
- The basic and 30 hour element in WTC frozen
- Help with child care costs reduced
- Both withdrawal rates of 39 and 6.67% will increase to 41%
- The baby element is withdrawn
- £25,000 earnings disregard reduced to £10,000
- Child Tax Credit child element will increase by £150 above Consumer Price Index.
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!0 -
