    You can boil rice in a metal bowl with a camping cooker. Much cheaper to buy and zero instalation costs.

    Agree with the first of your post but not that bit. Burning wood (much of which will be softwood) is pretty much carbon neutral when you look at the bigger picture

    Destruction of the rain forest is completely another matter and another topic!

    I would hope the Op at least decides to read up on the regulations so he doesn;t kill himself or anyone else with CO posioning through a badly fitted woodburner


    Ype, and burning oil, gas & coal is carbon neutral if you look at the really really big picture, you just have to go back in time far enough :D

    By the same logic so is burning tyres (much sought after & fought over as November 5th fuel in my youth) but now strangely banned for some reason
