Virgin Mobile - phone not delivered on time

Hi everyone,
I ordered a phone on behalf of my brother on Friday from Virgin Mobile. He already had a sim only deal with them, so I suppose its classed as upgrading.
I was told it would be delivered on the Saturday between 0800-1300. My partner waited home for it on the Saturday, and lo & behold come 1300 it hadn't appeared. I checked my email confirmation which actually stated 0800-1800 for delivery, so not wanting to miss it he stayed in the full time. Still no phone :mad:
I called them and was told that no it wasnt coming as delivery was definitely on 0800-1300. They told me it would probably come on Monday. I told them this was useless as we were all at work. Advisor told me she would get the delivery team to call me the next day (sunday) to arrange to send to my work address on the Monday.
So today, no phone call. I called them again, to be told the delivery/logistics team dont work a Sunday, and that I shouldnt have been told them would call me. I was told that I would receive a call from them within 72 hours!!!!!! And would have the phone by Wednesday.
I asked when customers who ordered today would get their phones, he said Monday. So i asked why he couldnt order me another phone to be delivered tomorrow. He said he can't access the delivery information. I asked him if I could collect it in my local virgin media store, I was told no. I asked if he could cancel the order, he said no.
So annoyed with them.
Any advice? I know i will need to suck it up and wait for the phone to be delivered, but I dont see why I need to wait. They promised saturday, now its potentially going to be Wednesday.
