Best and cheapest are not two things that go together. Cheap is invariably poor quality in this sector. You have to decide what you intend to compromise.

  • could i re-phrase and say best value for my money, but still best insurance !!
  • it depends on your ages , your current health issues all companies wont cover you for previous conditions unless you pay through the nose, if you live in london this will be more and if you want any out patient cover ie: diagnostics/consultants fees/physio and others.

What is the reason you want to take out cover?

i recommend bupa or health now from AIG both good service (ive been in company schemes) which usually offer better cover than personal
  • ages are 37 and 38 kids 12 and 10

have no previous or present health issues (touch wood) but have also thought of the future and just incase and just thought you would get a quicker and better service than NHS. Correct me if i am wrong.

I did some research for someone last month on PMI. After you rule out the budget (and general waste of money) plans and look at the comprehensive, you find that whilst they all have a general core of areas that they all cover, the differences between the best and the worst was quite large.

Certain areas not included by some but are with others would be enough to sway many people from one provider to another if they wanted that particular area of coverage.

BUPA and AIG do not offer the most comprehensive plans.
