Forgot to touch out Oyster (Season ticket)

No.
Not with a season ticket.
With PAYG you wouldn't actually be 'fined' either - just charged a higher fare than you need have been0 -
As above, no!0

id say no, but others have reported to being charged £7.30 or whatever it is now.0

No fines or anything. Worst that'll happen is after doing this 3 times, you'll have 3 unresolved journeys on your oyster card, and it'll say 'seek assistance' at the gate. Just go to a desk, they'll clear these journeys, tell you all about touching in and out, then let you on your way.0

I saw a report on TV where people where getting extra charges applied when they hadn't swiped out.
I think it is because there is no proof of how long your journey was.0 -
I think you just pay the maximum possible Tube fare, don't you?
For H&S purposes they send a team of sniffer dogs into the tunnels overnight to search for all the people who touched in that day and didn't re-emerge. Charging you the top ticket rate funds this.0 -

Most who have a season will not haver any credit on it as its not needed so it cannot deduct anything and wont go into negative balance unless they go outside their zone its valid for.
Then they would have to pay that off before using it i believe"If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
If you travel wholly within the zones covered by your season ticket you do not need to touch in or touch out. If your journey involves travel outside the zones covered on your season ticket then you do need to touch in and touch out.
Oyster works like this. When you touch in the maximum fare is deducted from your card except if you are touching in at a station in a zone covered by your season ticket then no money is deducted. When you touch out then one of the following happens:
* If you touched in at a station where it deducted the maximum fare then when you touch out it calculates what the correct fare should be and refunds the rest back on to your card
* If you touched in at a station where it did not deduct anything (i.e at a station in a zone covered by your season ticket) then when you touch out at a station in a zone not covered by your season ticket it will deduct the correct excess fare from your card.
* If you touched in at a station where it did not deduct anything (i.e at a station in a zone covered by your season ticket) then when you touch out at a station also covered by your season ticket and the recognised route is wholly within the zones covered by your season ticket no action is taken.Did you really mean to put loose?
Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place0
