2 annoying problems

Both of these have only started happening in the last week or so.

1. When I go to a webpage where I have to sign in (e.g windows live), a pop up box always comes up asking if I only want to view the content that was delivered securely. Is there a setting I can change so I only get secure content without pop up?

2. My IE has been loading pages like normal but when it has loaded the whole page it will freeze for about 5 seconds and I have to wait. Is there anything I can do about this?

I don't want to switch to another browser.

1. Changed a setting
2. Disabled some add ons
