    Already done :D

    It's a Saturday :(

No worries, we've always viewed the evening meal as being a bonus, bonus.

I hope that you enjoy it !

Ouch, there must be something 'big' going on.
As per yoour suggestion from the other year, Homewoods are now my fisrt port of call when I'm looking for accomodation in the US, as I believe the Value For Money that they offer is excellant. However, whenever I 'talk them up' on here, people don't seem to interested in considering them :o c'est la vie.

Just a quick thought for you, do you have any HHonours points to use ? I've just had a quick shuftie and its only 30000 points to stay at the Dulles Homewood ;)
Homewoods (and Embassy Suites - Superb breakfasts) are always my number 1 purely because they are 2 room suites. With the little ones that's a must for the next year or so.

Me and the misses have about 600,000 HH points. We go on the fact that 25,000 is about $100. So, if it's less than $100 we pay cash and get the points added and also the nights to bump up the status.
The Homewood near Virginia Beach is 22,500 a night. Bargain!
I've been pushed down to Silver now. Not happy. I was Diamond for a couple of years, then Gold... I need more nights!!

We stayed at the Embassy Suites Hampton Roads last year and very nice it was as well. I can still remember the Mini Cats going up and down in the open fronted elevators whilst Mrs Cat & I couldn't see them ;).

I can thouroughly recommend the Battleship Wisconsin & Nauticus as a place to visit, with a cruise around the Naval base afterwards.

& for a complete change of pace, the Norfolk Botanical Gardens were lovely ;)

I looked at this one because we're hoping to do a road trip starting in DC in the Autumn.

Seems that some have suggested they visited the White House? I was under the impression it was off limits to UK citizens as the Embassy have to apply for you and they've stopped doing it.

    Is that the case?

Sorry to bump this but has anyone else got an answer to Cubegame's query?
