Hi all
I was made redundant on friday. The company I work for has gone into recivership and the directors are starting up under a new name and I am supplus to requirement.
I was given no notice and have been told that they have no money to pay me for my last weeks work, any holiday still owed and any redundancy that I am entitled to.
I have worked for them for 8 years.
If anybody could advise me on where to get advice and get some help I would be very greatfull.
I am at my wits end with worry at the moment and need some help.
Thanks
Martin

if you go onto the .gov website it will tell you where to claim your redundancy pay from.
I know you can claim redundancy and other things but not sure what.
I know its a bit of a shock but you'll get some reassurance from the site.
See if you can ring up ACAS tomorrow for more guidance.
Hope youre not unemployed for too long.

This is what you can claim:
- redundancy
- wages - up to a maximum of eight weeks
- holiday pay - up to a maximum of six weeks
- compensatory notice pay - one week after one calendar month's service rising to one week per year of service up to a maximum of 12 weeks (new earnings will be taken into account)
