Moroccan Oil

Hi just wondering if anyone uses any of the Moroccan Oil products? My hairdresser used it on my hair yesterday and I have to say my hair really felt silky afterwards and it doesn't feel at all greasy today. I'm considering buying some but I've have read reviews that some people have reactions to it long term, just wanted to know if anyone had any experience of this and if a 25ml bottle really does last for six months as 13 pound a bottle would be very good value if it does?

Hi Vaughanstar,
I've been using Morrocanoil oil treatment on my hair now since just after Christmas and I am a total convert. I have fine hair but have a lot of it and it gets really tatty and hard to brush. Since using morrocanoil the brush slides through easily.
I have the 100ml bottle and am just over halfway through it, I use three pumps before I dry my hair every day, and my hair is really silky and shiny, I know the 25ml bottle would never last me 6 months!
It is expensive but I do think it's worth it, hth, xx0 -
Thanks for the reply, it does seem really good. I have really thick hair with a wave and today its really smooth and shiny so I'm impressed. Think I'm going to get the 25ml one to start with and see how I get on with it. Thank you x"It's an anywhere road for anybody, anyhow . . . . . but no matter the road is life" - Jack Kerouac0

I have very fine damaged/coloured hair and can't believe how much I love this product. A little goes a very long way for me and having just finished my sample I'm bracing myself to fork out for the full size0

My hairdresser used it on my hair on Thursday and my hair is very curly but i straighten all the while. I have to say i am impressed I haven't washed my hair since its still looks as good as when she did it still very smooth. Considering what the weather is like here very wet and windy it has not gone frizzy like it normally would.
I am deffo going to buy some:D0 -
I have been thinking about this too - i have thick wavey hair that dries into a complete fuzzy bush no matter what products I use - I have to spend ages straightening it! Any one have similar hair ?? - and comment if it works ...
Found it on ebay for £11.50 though seller quite new with low feedback

I was talked into letting my hairdresser use it on me once. I had to wash my hair first thing the following morning as it was lank and greasy.
Having read the ingredients there are far too many silicones in it and my hair doesn't like silicone.0 -

I didn't know this about Silicones in it my hairdresser told me to stop using Pantene as it was full of silicone and now she is pushing this oil onto me doesn't makes sense  It did work on my hair though0 -
I've been using the 25ml size for about 6 weeks now and it's been really good - it has a lovely smell as well! Leaves my hair soft and silky and most importantly easy to comb through. I was looking for 'something extra' conditioning wise and so glad that this product is available.
I'm just about halfway through the bottle, so 3 months worth for me in this size. My hair is just past shoulder length and thick, going this week for a cut, so will stock up on my next cut & colour at the end of March!0 -

Yes I had that mixed message too lol
Here are the ingredients: ( Courtesy of http://thebeautybrains.com/2009/07/08/is-moroccan-oil-good-for-hair-and-skin/)
Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone, Butylphenyl, MethylPropional, Argania Spinoza Kernal Oil (Argan Oil), Linseed (Linum Usitatissimum) Extract, Fragrance Supplement, D&C Yellow-11, D&C Red-17, Coumarin, Benzyl Benzoate, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone
I was wondering whether to source some pure Argan oil to try as it seems well down the list in the commercial version.0
