Hi all,
Does anyone know where I can buy castor oil from in a shop not the internet? I'm interested in trying the oil cleansing method and the base ingredient is castor oil but I can't find it anywhere
Any advice on OCM or views would also be much appreciated, I have combination skin and suffer from blackheads and flakey skin and have been told OCM may help.
Thanks for any replies

I got it in boots but its kept behind the prescriptions counter and you have to ask for it. Apparently some people overuse it as a laxative and that's why it's not kept on the shelf....
I really like using the OCM but didn't have too many skin problems to start with so can't really comment on it from that POV...sorry0 -
As its used as a laxative you have to ask at the counter for it
I also had combination skin with flakes and blackheads untill i used the OCM
Now I would say my skin is as close to normal as possible. Certainly its no long sensitive to anything and everything
I use the castor oil/olive oil/veg oil mix as recommended. Only need to use it once or twice a week now0 -
I got mine in Lloyds Chemist. It was behind the counter.0

And if you want organic castor oil you can get Pukka brand in health food shops in 2 different sizes.Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

I ordered mine from eBay along with some grape seed oil on the recommendation of a poster on the No Buying any Toiletries thread. I have oily combination skin which can get bumpy at times.0

Just bringing this thread up because i've run out of castor oil for my soap making and its far cheaper than ebay. Anyone else bought from the website? There's some really good prices on there.0
