I sent this letter to Brian Carter last June concerning their demands on behalf of Nationwide Bank. ( I then followed it up with the standard template letter from this site).

Dear Sir
I have received your letter of the 28/5/2010.
Please be kind enough to send me a copy of the credit agreement between myself and your client.
Upon its satisfactory receipt I shall contact you further.
This week they have written to me stating that they don't have to supply a credit agreement as the matter is connected to an overdraft. Contact them immediately to make an arrangement to pay!

They also say that it's up to me if I want to see anymore paperwork, but I will have to get it myself from Nationwide and this will involve me in considerable expense.

This all seems very airy-fairy to me. Any comments, anyone?

    Hi Devils Avocado,

As far as I know (and I could be wrong!), overdrafts don't actually get a proper credit agreement under part V of the consumer credit act. However, I think the thing that loosely covers as part of the credit agreement is a letter from the Bank stating the amount of overdraft facility, interest charges and other fees etc. I think this is correct, but hopefully someone with more knowledge than me will be along soon to provide additional advice.
