Can we have an 'unhelpful' button?

We have thanks, spam, abuse etc buttons but many of the posts on these forums are just plain unhelpful or nasty but not abusive. It would be really useful to have an 'unhelpful' button to show the poster how many people found their posts unhelpful, it might make people think twice before posting.
Do people think this is a good idea?

NoWhile i agree that some posts are quite nasty, many a time i have seen OP's become nasty or rude/childish simply because they werent given the answer they WANTED to hear.
At the end of the day, if you're posting online, you need to take into consideration that there will be many different views expressed or opinions. And you need to prepare yourself for answers that you dont necessarily want to hear.
Some people make light of situations etc. Its just part of who they are. I've found a few select members misunderstand my posts and apply an attitude/view to them that was not intended on my part and nor is it a true reflection of how i intended the post to sound.
But thats the thing. Online, you cant hear someones voice, you cant see their face and you cant read their body language. So what might seem as a rude post to one person.....may have been intended as a "cut to the chase" post by the author with no malice at all.
I feel having a "unhelpful" button would just mean those childish posters who cant take being told they're wrong or that someone disagrees with them would end up abusing it.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

Yup, you may as well have a 'you're a !!!!!!!' button.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -

Totally agreee, but I don't think they'd go for that:D
but I do think there should be some consequences for those people who seem intent on causing upset or trouble.0
