Thanks Melvis I did look at the title of the comp in regs E: DAILY (enter every 10 mins) Hello Luxury spa and golf break and I thought that it was a one off comp I have amended my OP so that it is re-directed to regs hope that this is ok!

    Best of Luck :)

    Hi,
I posted this up on the main board when the new comp came out last Monday. I really thought this had been resolved, so I put this note on it...

Have posted this here as a) it ends next Monday, so has an end date, b) it has a separate question and c) it has a separate prize.

There is a comp in regs here but the OP is an expired comp, tho' the URL is the same. Confused? Me too and I've been posting this for well over a year ! (Has been edited to ongoing now)
It seems from the comments on the other thread that folk would prefer it posted each week, so here it is :D
Hope that by providing the link to regs I'm doing the right thing too?

Seems the link to regs wasn't enough and it was removed & merged with the comp in regs. Hope your post stays AmILucky.

Am not going to comment further.

Thanks GB I entered the comp via your link when it was posted on the main board but I've entered that many comps this week that I forgot all about it ;)

posted it as a new comp then edited it to a re-direct when I found it was already in regs

can't understand why your post was merged with regs?

strange that the title has been edited today but the OP say's

it's obviously been edited by a BG ;)

Update: Not quite sure that the title is still correct E: ONGOING - HELLO Most Stylish Vote, prizes worth around £2000, enter every 10 mins as the title doesn't say that there is a new prize and comp every week

    Best of Luck :)

    :)

    Not just me then... :o

Please, please, please could someone clarify why it was moved?
As in my post above, I truly believed it was OK to post, also, it appears, does AmILucky, or he wouln't have put it here. I know he was involved in further discussions, but I thought it was all resolved, so lost track a while ago :o. Have the rules changed again?
I usually post the new comp when it comes onto the site on a Monday (tomorrow) and am desparately trying to "Do the right thing."

The polls said that all competitions with an end date should be posted on the main board and a link put in the relevant regular sticky. This competition has a clear end date of 7th February, so is not ongoing, and can be entered once every ten minutes (which is why it may come under the definition of a regular). Unfortunately we don't have a sticky for 'enter every 10 minutes' comps so the link would have to go in the dailies sticky. I don't understand why there is a separate thread in regulars for this. Seems to be over complicating everything.

if you look at the thread in Regs Andrea has posted that it makes sense to leave it as it is (an ongoing thread) :)

have pm'd her to ask her to clarify :)

  • id hazard a guess that it was moved because although the prize changes weekly the exact same url takes you to the exact same comp so it doesnt actually end 07/02 it just has a new prize on 07/02 :)

its much easier for me not to have to change the link in dailies every time the prize changes, likewise i guess for gilla and ppd with the other threads.....duping in this case isn't an issue since it can be entered so frequently but imo its better to use the same rules for all instead of picking and choosing which comps should follow those rules :)

going by andreas latest guidelines it can be posted on main as a link to this thread rather than actually duping the comp :)

It's the same page but a different prize, end date and comp question.

Lots of comps are posted on the same page of a site - usually something like https://www.whatever.com/competitions

I don't think that makes them "ongoing"

if you search for "HelloMagazine" you will see that these comps have always been posted on the main board until quit just recently not saying where they should be posted just pointing this out ;)

Update: I would just like to say that the thread on the main board has received more thanks in 4 hours than it did in the week that it was left on regulars undisturbed http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=40556152&postcount=13 ( I didn't want to bump the post again hence the added update)
