Re-claiming bank charges from closed Barclays Account

Back in April, i closed my Barclays account in an attempt to sort out my finances and took out a loan to pay it all off foolishness :shocked:

Anyway now on the straight and narrow, having moved everything around to A&L and clearing them properly.

Having read through the reclaiming bank charges thing and still having a stack of bank statements from my original Barclays account is it worth me going through and trying to claim any charges back had this account for quite a few years and has anybody had any joy with barclays?

Quite a few years?

You can only claim back for 6 years but still worth doing.

I was registered with barclays for over 5 years and I've got all the bank statements to hand. Will get the highlighter out soon and start going through them many thanks

definitely worth it - you're entitled to refunds for any charges over the last six years. go for it

Yes of course you can. Make sure you follow the correct procedure with the letters asking for it back.
