Have 3 broken their contract by raising their prices?

3 sneaked in a price rise on the 4th January, the same day as the VAT rise. I expected the small VAT increase, but thought that the prices agreed on a fixed term contract were, well, fixed. So, it was with incredulity that I read this on their site...
No cancellation rights are available to customers for RPI increases. The price changes are in line with inflation, there is no change to your contract with us. You can leave if your contract has ended, or you can pay an early contract termination fee.

Theres a clause in three's contracts that allow them to increase prices inline with inflation.......
Any increase above inflation and you have the right to cancel, this increase is just below that level so there is no right to cancel without penalty.
One reason I will not be renewing come renewal time next month, I hope three are happy, they have lost a customer for the sake of squeezing an extra 50p out of me :rotfl:0
