Site Problems and suggestions

Hi,
I often find that links from the tips email time out - about half of them actually. I realise that this can happen on the day the email comes out and all us eager misers are rushing to get something for nothing, but the problem seems to remain at any time. Today I went looking for the best ISA deal by clicking the link from tuesday's email and again I get a 'timed out' error. My bookmark for the site is useless, as the home page NEVER loads now. I decided to report this problem and checked this forum to see if others are having similar problems. It seems a few are, but there are loads of postings and I have to scan through the list as of course the search facility doesn't work at all, so I'll have to go over to Google to search this site...etc. And all I wanted was the best ISA!
So, is it me? Firefox via ukonline's 9.99 1mb deal. I'm not having trouble with other sites... As I said, I can't load the homepage, and have the most trouble with those 'cgi-bin/newsid?' links rather than permanent links to articles (although even they are dodgy!)
If it isn't just me, can I suggest that MSE invests in more or better servers and a proper search facility (even just a google box) that will help prevent orphan posts on subjects and create more coherent threads in busy areas?
Time is also money and usability can only improve the sites popularity and power. I decided to go beyond tightfistedness and to actually make use of what money I had about 2 years ago and this site has been invaluable in showing me where to find the best deals. It would be a shame if it became a victim of it's own popularity.
Keep Felix purring!

All of the ISA links in this weeks e-mail, which I received on Thursday, worked fine. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
