  • Hi all, just joined slimming world and thinking of making my own yogurt for the first time. I bought an electric yogurt maker, but the book that comes with it only tells you how to make plain yogurt. Does anybody make their own and have any recipes? Or do I just make the yogurt and then add flavourings afterwards.

just made a couscous based quiche with ham, 3 eggs and a small pot of 0% total yoghurt.

its nice for a first attempt, but i think it could be better (needs alot more flavour to it.) though i think next time i'll leave out the base and just use ham - i thought in my head the base would be crispy :s the sides are, but the base is still soft. ahh well, you dont know until you try.:D
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

  • Fluff - did you bake the base first before putting in the filling? It doesn't need a lot of baking but it won't be soggy, I don't think, if you bake it first.

i baked it for maybe 5 minutes to crisp it up slightly, it was really crispy at the sides but still quite wet in the middle, dont get me wrong it held fine, but i thought for some reason it would have been a little crispier?
