Looking at Autotrader, there are similar Freelanders at a similar price.
Means it's less likely the one you are looking at is dodgy.

I just found one on eBay, same sort of specs only it's a 2000 with 104k miles for £1100 which I think is a bargain for a 1.8. The only thing bothering me is the headgasket issues, not too concerned about milage as long as it has been looked after well.We’ve had to remove your signature. people beat me to it about a dealer trading from the sticks as it looks from the pics, no engine pics? "top class runner" more like you would be if you seen the state of the engine!
for 4x4's go through auction all the time, most auctions in the country are online with GUIDE prices check them out.0 -
Ok I'm off the Land rover idea now. I found a Mitsubishi Showgun today, 2005 2l. Great reviews on the internet so I'm going to take it for a test drive tomorrow. Insurance is going to be costly at £1700 TPFT. I guess I have the idiotic and careless young drivers to blame for that, though the car is much suitable for my needs.We’ve had to remove your signature.
