Resort advice for a young couple

Me and my partner are at that age now (mid 20's)where weve been to the "party" resorts such as malia ,falariki ,kavos ect and now want to go on holiday to relax. Last year we went to Kos Town and it was perfect for us ,still livley at night with plenty of bars/resurants to choose from, the beach was great and it wasnt very expensive there.
Now can anybody reccomend sililar resorts to this ???? Open to going anywhere (within a £300ish budget)

Thanks for any replies!

Have you thought about Tenerife? You can chill out in the day and still have some night life if you want

I have stayed at the Mediterranean Palace hotel part of the Mare Nostrum resort near to clothes shops and bars, restaurants, beach and I think a taxi ride away from the 'strip'

The hotel/group of hotels (5 in total) is pretty much on the beach. The Med palace also has a rooftop pool which is very relaxing! and only for over 18's

When are you planning on going on holiday?
  • I haven't been to Kos Town but several years ago went to Kamari in Santorini. Lots of couply bars and restaurants plus plenty to see on the island!
  • How about Bodrum in Turkey? That is similar in size and feel to Kos town.

    Or Chania in Crete

    Maybe consider Lindos on Rhodes.

I find Bodrum too busy but we really like Turgutreis which is on the Bodrum Peninsular.

I'd ask your question on one of the holiday-specific websites, try Tripadvisor or Holidaytruths.

Yes if you like Kos you will love Lindos or Rhodes Town!

what about Protara in Cyprus, went september, busy, good night life but not as mad as Ayia Napa, although that is 10 minutes down the road of you fancy a mad one. The beaches are lovely and there are lots of day trips available if you fancy a bit of sight seeing. Drinks and food really well priced to.

I'd second Tenerife, its red hot all through the winter has the wild party areas like Playa de las Americas if you do fancy a night out but it also has a real quiet lovely side to it.

I'm not sure if you have watched that program on a Sat night with Paddy McGuinness called Take me out. Well they take their winning contestants to a resort called Los Gigantes in Tenerife, its a stunning place to relax and is only a 15 min drive in a taxi from Playa if you fancy a fun night out. If you get chance to watch it on Saturday you'll see the cliffs in the background. I think they had information or a blog about it recently on the Tenerife holidays website but we stayed in Los gigantes last year and loved it so much and are hoping to go again next year when money is better.

Kos Town is also really nice - if you can stay an any of the hotels just north of the town (on the road that leads up the hill) you will be able to see right across the sea to Turkey from your hotel. It is quite special. The old town is beautiful too - and busy if you fabncy a beer in the evening.

Hope that helps - I hope nobody laughs at me for watching take me out! lol
