Dell Inspiron 1545 scroll lock problem

Hi everyone
I am using Excel on a Dell Inspiron 1545, and it has suddenly started behaving as though scroll lock is on. There is no scroll lock key.
I have tried googling it and found various things suggesting combinations of CTRL or ALT and various FN keys that ought to do scroll lock, but I haven't managed to find anything specific to the Inspiron, and none of the suggested key combinations have worked.
I could sort it if I had a USB keyboard, but I haven't got one where I am at the moment. Clearly it's possible to toggle scroll lock on and off without a USB keyboard, because I have obviously just put it on accidentally. Can anyone help me?
Thanks.

Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
