I am going to my local balloon shop on friday so I will ask the lady in there maybe she might know :D

    I have another question LOL

If you make a number cake do you put filling in the middle? :)
  • I do, but we are a bunch of gannets. Depends what kind of cake you are making. For emaple, carrot cake, I would do a thin spread of marmalade and frosting in the middle and cover in Frosting. Chocolate cake would have frosting or ganache in the middle and chocolate frosting. Plain sponge would have jam and buttercream, maybe some strawberries and fresh cream in the middle, and frosting or fondant. Coffee cake with vanilla frosting laced it walnuts in the middle and plain frosting outside. Too much cake and not enough icing makes it dry, but it depends how deep it is really. :)

  • I made a number 5 cake some time ago. I used one of those mouid ones with a hole in the middle (what the blazes are they called?) for the curve and then two smallish loaf tins. Frosted the lot and cut marshmallows with scissors to make flower petals. I'm not much of a baker but it turned out pretty professional-looking considering.
