Asda Delivery - Warning - Check Prices Charged

Hi
I get my shopping delivered by Asda every week or 10 days (I live over 40 miles from the nearest supermarket)
I always check they have delivered everything correctly but never think to check the prices I have been charged. I always assumed they were checked out at a till.
Today I was charged £108 for 45 satays (for daughters party). They were been 16p each and I ordered 15 of each variety. This should have been £2.40 for each variety. Instead they charged for 15 lots of 15, 3 times!!
I called Asda and they were lovely and have said they will refund the amount overcharged, £100.80 (No offer of compensation though). However I am left wondering how many times have I been overcharged before.
I have learned my lesson and will always check everything from now on. Just wanted to warn everyone else to do the same.

I'm confused how you can be overcharged!
I've just started doing online shopping with ASDA, and it gives you a clear list of what you've ordered, and how much the total is, then before you book your shopping and delivery, you check the total.
Are you saying they added £100 extra AFTER you'd already paid!?!?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

You don't pay at the time of placing the order, you pay when they actually 'pick' your shopping, so it would be easy to make an error if the person picking the shopping entered the wrong quantities-i think thats what happened here0 -
Hi
I dont really understand how I was ovecharged. I think the person inputting the items noted I had 15 satays in the bag and saw the price as 2.40 and, not realising that 2.40 was the total, checked 2.40 through 15 times and then did this again with the other 2 bags of satay. They obviously had "a Moment" and didn't register that £36 was a tad expensive for 15 satays that cost 16p each.
We can all make mistakes and Asda have put it right. I just wanted to warn others to be vigilant. It is really easy just to put shopping away and not check everything is correct. I always check my receipt when I leave a shop and this shouldn't be any different but somehow I felt it was.0 -
I've never been happy with any of my home-deliveries. There's always some problem and the substitutions never make sense. Well, they make sense to the supermarket because they're always much more expensive items than on the order.0

Asda's comp policy is £2 on a giftcard for every mistake made

You have to go to Customer Services for it - we get it each time they mess up. If you're passing soon after, take in your reciept and explain - or ring the customer services and ask if they post them out. (never had to as our asda is almost on our doorstep)Princess Sparklepants0

I've used ASDA a few times now for online delivery (I won't go near the store - it's chav central and ghastly, with long till queues and crowded aisles!), and so far so good...
You can tick a box to say if you don't want certain items substituted, and the substitutes I've had so far have been great! (i.e. they give you something more expensive yet don't charge you the extra!).Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

I love online supermarket shopping. Where I live Tesco is the best - I tried Sainsburys and Ocado but they weren't as good. Tesco price match substitutes so if the one you want is out of stock they charge you the price of the one you wanted not the product they send. They are always pretty prompt and the website is a doddle to use.Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you are usually right.0
