I ported my Orange number to a different network provider. I paid my outstanding bill. Out of the blue Orange sent me a bill for £20.54 which they say is the cost of porting my number. My account was well out of contract and I gave more than adequate notice. I queried the bill and was told it is for 'unspecified charged'. I refused to pay until I was told what the charges are for. I was told to pay at which poit Orange would sort it out and I would be refunded the £20.54.
Nurmerous calls to Orange, numerous promises by them to get back to me, and a overdue account letter from NDR this morning demanding money or the default would be registered are gradually breaking my spirit. I wonder if I should just pay up and be done with it?
Incidentally isn't it amazing how many Billy Jones's, Paul Beckhams, Vinnie Smiths there are working in an Indian Call Centre? It's even more amazing that when a customer rings back those people cannot be traced and there is no record on the customer's account!
