TV LIcensing, why no letter regarding change of payments

I've just been trying to reconcile my monthly DD payments to TV Licensing. I have my latest licence from August 2010 which shows my payments due for the following year's licence. I tried all ways to try and get it to the figure of £145.50 but couldn't. So I then went to their website and viewed my licence and the payments and ther are different to what the letter says, and do add up to the correct figure. If they're supposed to be that efficient, why didn't they write and tell me my new payment schedule?:mad:
