OH and I received a letter from Jobcentre this morning. It says IS COC on the top and tells me to quote I.S CLERICAL if I get in touch with them.
It's asking whether OH and I still live with his parents and sister and their earnings.
Is this a routine thing? I'm really paranoid at the moment (we're struggling for money alot). Of course I'm going to give them the information but OH's dad is secretive as to what he earns (who wouldn't be?) and it asks for payslips but he only has one as he has just started a new job and they've asked for two.
It's typical that I got the letter on a Saturday. I'm next due a payment on Wednesday. Will the income support be suspended if I don't give them the information by then?
I'm so stressed about other things right now that this is just the icing on the cake.

Presumably they'll accept the last payslip from his previous job, which will give you the two you need.0

You can only supply what he has. If you explain that he has just started a new job and only has one payslip, they cant really argue. Show them the payslip from his previous employment. Also any bank statements will show income. As long as you work with them and co-operate as needed it should all be fine.
I doubt many people can just produce all the documentation they require at drop of a hat. IS Clerical doesn't sound much too worry about. Just the admin dept0 -
the clerical bit means that your claim is not being operated on the computer system and is nothing to worry about, it could be that there has been a computer glitch
from the information requested it sounds as if they think your OH parents are living in your house rather than you living in theirs - if this is the case ring and let them know as this will probably mean that they don't need their financial information only yours0 -
Thanks everyone for your replies.
Happy35 - I didn't think of that. It would make sense. OH and I live with his parents but it's kind of under a tenant basis because we pay monthly rent because we can't find anywhere else to live.2019 Wins

No, I don't because I'm technically renting from family so wouldn't be entitled.

Oh good, I was worried that you didn't know this.0 -
Is it that your oh father wouldn't want you knowing his salary. He could put all the documentation in an envelope for the relevant person at job centre to see it. They wont give two hoots what he earns and he doesn't know them so cancels out his need to be private/secretive etc. Im sure he wants what is best for you both.0

Don't worry.
I know what we are and aren't entitled to, thanks to reading this board.

I'm not entirely sure. I know he's worried that giving them the info will somehow stop OH and I's claim but I know that it wouldn't as we are not dependant on eachother and when I put OH on my claim they asked for his details and earnings anyway (although it said "if known" and because I didn't know I left it blank) and things were fine.
I'm probably just stressing over nothing. It happens all the time.2019 Wins

LM.....way way OT but is that you on your wedding day?
You looked very pretty
When you have been on the board you get to 'know' people and you read their posts that you come across and get to know their life but maybe don't ever comment to them....sometimes never.
My point is that I had read you were geting married...and I wanted to say you looked pretty.0
