Zumba!!

Completely off topic I know but what a marvelous thing to get in shape for your wedding, or any reason for that matter.
Me and my daughter have it for the Kinnect and we do it every night for 20 mins. zumbafitness.co.uk you can get the DVD's and do it in your own home.
We started on Monday and for most of the 20 mins my daughter just fell about laughing at me because my arm/leg co ordination is non existant!
We are getting the hang of it now and are going to get a little book today to plot weight/inch loss.
Its so fun and if you have older daughters like me then do it together.:D

I go to a Zumba class, it is really popular and I love it! The music really gets you revved up and ready to put your all into it, doesn't it?!
Although I'm with you, I'm not sure I quite look like the teacher as my coordination definately doesn't do what it's supposed to do sometimes!! :rotfl:

I got this game for xmas and played it for the first time last night and it was absolutely brilliant! I am going to use this on the days when I can't get to the gym! I have been to Zumba classes before and the moves and routines are very similar!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Zumba class!!! Wednesday nights are my favourite night of the week. I wobble all my wobbly bits, and I feel great when it's done. Definitely the most enjoyable exercise I've ever done!!!

I go on a Sunday night, which is great, as it means I don't have that "Sunday feeling" where you dread going to work the next day. I've been going for 4 weeks now, and my Mum, who doesn't do classes, has noticed such a difference in my figure, that she's considering trying a session. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I've lost 2 inches off my waist and 4.5 off my hips since doing the class!
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Yes I did :) Althought I'm constantly swapping classes as they get so full....some teachers will close their doors when it gets full but some don't and I've quit a couple as they got too full to move properly. Haven't been for a couple of weeks due to a very bad cough that gets worse with exertion and I'm missing it! I also belly dance and do pilates. I've lost about half a stone since New year but more importantly for me is that I'm losing inches...I wore a pair of jeans on Thursday that I couldn't fit into for ages :)
My house is a problem is that my living room is long and narrow and I just can't do any of the DVDs at home. But I can hula hoops as I don't move around so much for that. I try to do at least 10 mins a day and I read last week that doing that burns 100 calories a time and it's great for your abs and whittling the waistline. Am hoping Linda notices a difference as my target is getting measured by her in May!!

Well, we've been doing it for a week now every night and hubster says he can feel the difference when he gives me a hug (ah!!) Bought some joggers today for me and dd so if we dont do it very well at least we look good!!
having done the same beginner routine for the week, we're now going to try the different 'slide' beginner routine next week.

I am loving it!! Great way to shake off the day!:j

Ellay, I'm sure I'll see a BIG difference and very much looking forward to seeing you again. x
