But this time its different, house prices will carry on going up from here, Mortgages will be passed on to next generations ect etc.
That video must be wrong, house prices only ever go up right?0 -
Mmmm, is that film four years old? maybe it should be retitled 'I'm still waiting'
'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
It too simplistic, conveniently misses out a few key factors and events - ERM issue (caused a crash and distorts trends in IR), population growth, broader economy (why interest rates were low), etc0

In other words, exactly the same as every other of these stupid youtube videos that get posted on the forums.
You really have to question the intelligence of those who are so easily influenced by this type of nonsense.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
and the intelligence of those who disregard history regardless of the medium used to describe it.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Just that the chart finishes at 2006, makes more sense that it was created when the market was at the bottom of the trough;)'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. It's not the medium, it's the content.
Don't mislead yourself into thinking that it is the medium of a youtube video that is being addressed.
The way that history is taken out of context, changed, misrepresented and all too often completely rewritten in order to make points, and then lapped up as factual by those all too eager to believe anything they read, see or hear on the internet is both worrying and dangerous.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

Certainly no intellectual rigour applied 'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is.
