Cypriot £ conversion to sterling or euros

Hello.
We have a cypriot Bank account, approximately £2000 CYP£,
that we no longer need and our Cyprus bank has high charges
for converting funds to sterling.
We shalll be in Cyprus next week and can withdraw the funds and close the account.
This may be better than paying bank and swift charges.
We shall be spending the equivalent amount next year in euros (in cash on short trips to france).
We would like advice on best methods and options with step by step guidance. ie depositing, converting to sterling or euros etc.
Any help and advice will be much appreciated.

Not sure I can use ATM in france. It seems only FE
withdrawals can be from the Banks Own (specified atms)
in Cyprus. I shall email bank to make sure but if we can withdraw
funds in france the exchange rate and charges may be high.0
