hope this is in the best place for this. I've just been contacted, by phone, (on a Sunday!) by GFK survey, say they are working for BT. They started to ask questions about what electronic equipment I own, pc etc, and is it at home or work. I stopped them as I suddenly thought that they could be anyone sizing the place up! Has anyone else had experience of this, am I being too picky? Thanks.

I believe GFK is a legitimate research company. They probably got your name from a marketing list somewhere.
I should not worry about what they have asked - they seem to be questions based on lifestyle, and not really anything sinister that could be used by fraudsters.
Now had they started asking for account details / credit cards etc, that is the time to worry!Don't bother trying to sue me - I've got no money!0
