Car Insurance Query

Hi,

I am working in Brighton as a Teacher and I come to London on a few occasions.

Can I insure my car at my Brighton address but have post directed to my London address as I am there sometimes.

The car is at the Brighton address majority of the time and kept there overnight but I do come to London sometimes.

Do I have to change my address on my V5? Or can I keep it the same? I am just curious to know how I can do this?

Many thanks.

Your insurance will want to know where you spend the most time. Problem will arise if its stolen/damaged
whilst in London late at night, When it should be in a garage in Brighton.

Working in Brighton as a teacher, Do you work 5 days a week? Commute from London? Or the other way around?

    Thanks for the reply.

I have decided to change my address on my V5 to Brighton and I have a feeling it would of been flagged by the insurance company.

I think they'll rate it on which is the highest risk (ie: London) even if the car is kept mostly in Brighton.

If documents etc are being posted to London it suggests that you'll be there mostly etc

    Thanks Adam for the comment.

I redirected all mail and I have changed my V5 address as I will be there majority of the time.
