At least with Thomas Cook airlines if you pay for 25kg of luggage you can actually take it as with them you can have up to 30kg in 1 case. If you fly with Thomsons the maximum you can have in 1 suitcase is 23kg so if you've paid for 25kg you need to put 2kg in another case which usually the case will weigh at least that.
  • Hi.

We flew as a party of 7 to Dominican Republic and we booked with Premier Seats for an extra £165 quid or something like that.

Both journeys did not come with the complemantary double socketed headphones you get with the pre-seats, the staff saying they had run out. Me thinks this was because Thom Cook are doing away with these types of seats. There was quite a few services missing for what we paid for and I am in the process of claiming some dosh back because it was less than satisfactory.

The tickets were also incorrectly printed and this was a fault with teh ticket printing and not our holiday booking. I really cannot describe how poor the customer service rep was at the airport, she was an arrogant awful piece of work and just didnt want to know. Even when I tried to proove it was the fault at ticket printing, her reply was, Well what do you want me to do?

So we just winged it and manage to fly out and back on incorrectly printed tickets.

Needless to say, the cabin staff were fine, and very apologetic for the missing services, because they knew TC have screwed up. They even recommended I complained.

I don`t think I`ll go with them again, because I`ve heard premium seats on other airlines are so much better.

But all in all, I wouldnt discount it if they were cheaper than anyone else.

I personnally think you can better for your money, and don`t waste it on Thomas Cook premium seats if they still do them, you don`t get hardly any extras for your cash.

    Hope that helps.

    Regards

we have bitten the bullet, have gone with TC...it has saved such a lot of money and i really couldnt justify the difference. It was approx £1500 difference!

We got a great deal with Asda travel in the end staying at Lake Buena Vista Resort....saves the travelling from teh villa option and will be a nice change. We loved the sheraton safari a few years back for its location so i am hoping that this will be a hit with us too!

thank you all that have helped
  • Avoid like the plague. They have very limited resources and if anything good wrong you will be left stranded. Cheapest is seldom the best especially when it comes to Thomas Cook and Thomson.
