Complaining and getting nowhere? go straight to the top

I've just come across this website http://www.connectotel.com/marcus/ceoemail.html

I'm currently have an issue with John Lewis, I got nowhere with the store or technical support and customer services don't respond. So I did a quick search on google and came up with this little gem which gives the email addresses of CEOs from all sorts of organisations.

My email has been sent to the CEO of John Lewis, I'll wait and see if I get a response.

I hope you find it useful if your complaints aren't being dealt with properly.

Secretaries and office staff in CEO's offices across the world find the forward email to customer services button

    Most CEO's don't actually use the email address listed (i.e - Willie.Walsh@ba.co.uk)

    Bit of a false hope

Not always, I had an issue with 3 and went to the top and it was resolved quite quickly therefafter. Similarly with Dell, even if they dont respond personally they often delegate to a named someone with the authority to speed up the process.

I'd have to disagree with you there. On the few occasions I've written to or emailed a CEO I've usually had more success. Yes it's true that the complaints often get bumped back to customer services but believe me there is a difference in the way they would handle a complaint from you or I and the way they handle it from the CEO.

I think its a good tool

I had a dispute with ORANGE about a replacement phone.

I didnt have any luck from customer services and was lied to completely by the staff member.

    Emailed chief ex.

Got a phone call from Orange the next day from lady in execs office sorted my problem and sent me a replacement phone of my choice with no cost.

It does work clearly, i think if you have a genuine complaint and have not had it resolved to your satisfaction as long as your not being a !!!! or unreasonable then im sure these are priortised and dealt with in a different manner.

never needed to bother myself. Complain properly, well, and to the right person, it will get sorted. The ceo is rarely the right person.

I wish MSE would have a facility that would alert other users of this medium what optimum bull appaers of this bored instead of having to search a select few posters.

Perhaps the Hnr. Mark could do this for us.

As for the list, someof it is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.
