The past two weeks the wife and I have been jumping through hoops trying to secure the property of our dreams in the country, everything was in place and felt right.
Until that is we get an email advising us that having received the reference checks and credit scoring the landlord is unable to offer a tennancy as there is no credit history.
This is after getting into debt 10, yes 10 years ago, clearing all debts, no longer borrowing, living within our means.
Whatever happened to the 6 year policy, its a joke and today is one very bad day, it isnt the end of the world as we have a home, but it makes you wonder why the system works against people in suc a harsh way, particularly when complete clarity was shown by us from the outset.
