Egg Credit Card PPI

Hello,
In an attempt to understand the situation with PPI and my Egg Credit Card I sent a SAR letter and enclosed £10 with it to Egg.
In that letter I requested they ensure they enclosed a copy of the credit agreement.
I've received a letter this morning requesting a further £1 for the credit agreement.
Surely the £10 should have covered this as I would have thought the agreement would form part of the SAR request.
Any assistance would be gratefully received on insight into this 'extra' fee.

Hi Phil
Sometimes the CCA are requested for separately and that is correct to enclose £1 cheque or postal order for this request, however some SAR's will enclose a copy of the CCA's, think banks may vary maybe, but this should take no longer than 12 days once you request for a copy of your CCA in writing. Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi
I am claiming with Egg as well, I just paid the money.
I should get all the paperwork in 14 days and the claim can start, asking a question about a quid will just delay the quids on the way back.....My little Sister told me to join.
So thank her for my rants. Can I get my Debts gone soon? Where did all my customers go?0 -
I'm not questioning the quid situation, I'm just more puzzled that the credit agreement doesn't form part of the SAR request and therefore isn't part of the fixed £10 fee.
I'll stump up the extra fee and we'll see what it says....0 -
Hi there, dont know if it will help but you could give fos a ring and see what they say, i think like you, the £10 should include all info they have about your account. Think egg are just trying it on.0

Hi,
I had an egg credit card which i cleared in 2009.
I have no paperwork nor the account number.
All i did was give them a call giving my address details and asked if there was ppi on this old account, to which the reply was yes. I made my complaint over the phone, never wrote to them once and i have had a letter from them stating that my complaint had been upheld but they are holding back payment until this BBA judicial reveiw has come to a conclusion.
I have taken this to the FOS just to make sure i'm not forgotten about, but have read somewhere about the FOS making them pay comp as well as whats owed.
I also had an egg loan that also had PPI on the account, same scenario as above but not had a decision as yet. Loans are taking between 8 - 10 weeks to sort out.
I just give them a call every now and then just to give them a nudge.0 -
Just given the FOS a call about Egg wanting a £1 for the Credit Agreement.
They've just advised me that Egg should be including it as part of the SAR request and it should be covered under the £10 SAR fee.
They also stated that the statutory £1 charge is when you only ask for the Credit Agreement on its own.
But they also advised me to wait for the SAR documentation as if the credit agreement is not included then I should complain to Egg (and ultimately them)

I have a claim in with Egg too. They wrote to me when the time period was due saying that they were very busy and weren't going to make the deadline. I gave them another couple of weeks and have heard nothing since, so this week will be going to FOS...0

what joy....something to look forward to...so that will be going the same way too0

That is correct, however when I have requested for a SAR, the copy of the agreement have not always been enclosed, so in this case this is why I requested for a copy of the agreement separately, and also questioned the data dept why it was not enclosed with the SAR, I was told to contact my branch direct.
But other requests made agreements have been included.
Good luck, and hope you receive all that is required.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
