Love the freecycle idea....I have been wanting to make some marmalade and some chutney but a lack of jars was stopping me. Will put a wanted notice on my local freecycle now....thanksWe don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0

I'd second the haunting the recycle bins idea, since its within the ethics of why people are dropping glass containers off there, I've found people quite open to giving them away. You don't necessarily need the lids either. Our Spar still sells jam jar tops packs very cheaply. (Cellophane circles & waxed circles with elastic bands).
