I believe the offer is for Nespresso coffe machines - they are available from a variety of manufacturers, e.g. Krups, Magimix, Siemens etc, but are manufactured under licence from Nespresso and only use Nespresso capsules. The range can be viewed here:

    http://www.johnlewis.com/Search/Search.aspx?SearchTerm=nespresso&Offset=1&refined=0

I 'm going on Sunday to get the Red Magimix Le Cube Nespresso Coffe Maker.

The £40 off is by voucher claim with receipt to Nespresso.

(the very nice Nespresso demo lady told me this a couple of weeks ago - that it was worth waiting to get the discount. The offer is on for a few weeks think it was until about the first week in January - sorry can't remember exact dates maybe the 8th?)

Thought that would be the case, they do these all the time, shame its not a JL offer or this could have been very good.

I know this thread isn't specifically about the types of machines but, if you really like coffee, you're better off spending more money on a decent machine and avoiding the capsule type machines. You'll end up spending a lot more by buying the capsules and the coffee never tastes anywhere near as nice. The nearest to traditional coffee machines is probably the Nespresso machine (I used to own one).

We've now bought a bean to cup machine - which grinds the beans then brews them immediately. It wasn't cheap (£425+) but if you use it everyday, you'll soon recover the cost and coffee beans are much cheaper than the capsules!

...and anyway, we ARE talking about money saving! :-)
