I am looking for a coffee maker myself; the only tips that I have picked up so far is that a machine for ground coffee will take bag type pods, and that you need at least 10 bar pressure.0

best coffee maker I have ever had and still have now is a Mellita. My son bought it for me in Denmark. It keeps the coffee really hot all day if you want it to. I don't know if they are available in the UK though.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

May have been Nespresso from Nestle. I have a Nespresso machine and think the coffee tastes excellent. The capsules are only available online or by phone.0 -

They had these on trial in currys yesterday so had a drink, compared to other coffee makers in this range the coffee was very hot, not a bad taste, not brill but ok. You do get more in a cup, the milk pods that come with it will fill a 330ml cup and maybe more, out of a pack of 8 cappuccino its possible to get 16 cups
I bought one from JL last week and have to admit the taste is not the same as a genuine coffee maker(with filter coffee ..etc)but is alot better than the tassimo or senseo ranges taste(at present with the senseo you can get more flavours and types of coffee than the rest, but this will change)The coffee as caverncity said,is very hot but would no way make 16 cups from 8 capsules,as the taste is too weak. The capsules for the macchiato and cappuccino's come with one milk cap and one coffee cap-16 total per box, where as the lungo and esspresso come with 8 capsules.
The milk taste from the caps is ok,sometimes you may need to stir the bottom of the cup as most of the powder has settled there.Coffee tastes just like nescafe regular range:T
They will soon release the chocolate coffee capsule and hopefuly others may follow(from them of other companies?)
Out of the various machines available, the nespresso version machines are better, but the dolce gusto is the choice out of the big three(senseo, gusto and tassimo)
