Wonder if anyone can help. My husband's just lost his job. He was self-employed & was told in early December that his contract would be renewed until July 2011.
However, despite the computer system being updated to state July 2011 as his leaving date, he was told a week last Thursday that his last day was January 31st - the date his contract initially expired.
SO...long story short, he's now frantically looking for a new job, but we're wondering if there's a standard letter that can be sent to all Direct Debit / Standing Order holders to basically say that while we can't pay the full amount, we wish to make a payment of X until a new position is found.
OH does have one more pay packet coming in, but obviously this needs to last until he finds another job. I've been looking at trying to find a part-time/night/evening role just to bring some money in as at the moment I'm a SAHM to a 5 & 2yr old.
Is there a standard letter, or is there specific wording that we can use in order to lower our normal payments?
