Be careful of added expenses like guide books and CD's.
They may be cheaper bought by you from the local stationers or online.

    Cheers, top notch information.

It was SUPPOSED to be tomorow by he forgot to write it down in his dairy, I dont mind anyway, would give me time to make a bit more money in the mean time and maybe I can do a 2hour lesson.

Its thursday now which I actually prefer as it's my day off from college and sunday is a chill out day for me!

    Thanks for the help!

Doesn't sound hopeful. My instructor has always turned up and is very organised. He's sometimes about 5 minutes late which I don't see as a problem, and once he gave an explanation of why he might be late the next lesson but was only about 10 minutes late.

So long as he turns up and teaches you well and you feel happy with the instructor then everything is ok :)

    Good luck!

You can take the test in any car you like (provided it's insured for the test, and taxed, MOT'd, etc.).

They are looking to only allow tests on dual-controlled vehicles due to the number of accidents happening during driving tests. If it's a dual-controlled car then at least the examiner can intervene to prevent an accident.

Not all insurers will cover the use of a vehicle for a test so you need to check. It's just easier to use and pay for an instructors car, saves the hassle and needless expense on insurance which no doubt will be a few hundred.

Always go with reccomendations from friends on a specific instructor. My instructor ended up teach my ex boyfriend, then me, then my best friend, then her sister, then her best friend and so on....

Would reccomend BSM though as they do good bulk packages and I believe they so student discount...

Also 2 hours are a great thing! You can actually drive a decent distance and then practice in one area and then come back. We used to do 2 test routes a lesson at the end of my lessons. Much better than a single hour.
