Keeping important paperwork safe
Comments

I keep a lever arch file of papers at my work. Just keep it in back of lockable filing drawer.
I feel then if something happens at home eg fire, I will always lhave access to my papers - if something happened at work, I would have plenty of time to get copies of documents. I just find that with changing insurers each year etc, I can never remember who I'm with, so in the even of a disaster would have access to documentation.:rotfl:0 -
I scanned my important paperwork in and emailed it to my gmail account so I can access it anywhere should I ever need to0

I agree about scanning copies onto gmail - I do this with all my "important" stuff. Or even just making a note of insurance company policy numbers / phone numbers etc.. I know they will always be accessible even if the entire house burns down. I also have my sons passports / medical insurance etc as they spend most of their working life travelling the globe. The original documents are kept ... (that'd be telling).0
