Could you buy an off the shelf limited company, set up a business bank account and pay your own company via credit card?

Wouldnt you be compelled to file company accounts and even pay corporate tax on the income?

Another problem; don't credit card companies charge for their services?

  • As above, it will be like cash and credit card will charge the maximum amount on it. Good luck and tell us all if you can get 0% on it. Ha.

Like this idea (even if I might have missed the boat with BT fees).

Don't quite understand the company idea and I thought I understood Ltd's!

I was thinking more of which of the largest or reguler normal bills I might be able to pay by CC?
  • I have a feeling that Abbey allows you to make payments to them but they only accept debit card payments and will only if you are in arrears with them.

Pity really as we've just paid off a chunk of our mortgage and was hoping to pay the money to my Tesco card and then use that to pay off the lump sum - although I doubt very much I would have got the tesco points for it !

stephnstevey, I pay my council tax with a cashback credit card. Utilities might, sometimes at extra charge, though, depends on your suppliers.
