Hi,
I have a iphone 4 and I have never bothered to insure it, quite simply because it was an extra expense I couldnt really afford and I keep it attached to me most of the time anyway!
However in just over a week I am going to South Africa and want to take my phone with me and I have a feeling if I dont insure it I am asking for trouble. (I certainly wont be waving it around in public over there but I am wary of bags e.t.c being stolen - with the phone inside it!)
My mobile phone provider only provide insurance if you purchase it in the first 14 days and I have had my phone since July.
Are there any decent companies around that will insure my phone even though I have had it so long and also cover me overseas?
Help greatly appreciated!

Yes you can take out phone insurance after 6-7 months.
Just do a search on google. U will get loads of links for phone insurance companies. Can do on a search on comparethemarket.com as well0 -
Most specific mobile phone policies only cover theft if it involves force / violence or the threat of violence and the phone has to be on your person or a locked room. So probably won't cover your example of in a bag.
You would be better adding it to your home insurance which is not normally so restrictive0
