Help with where to put charity money?!

Options
Hi there,

My parents are volunteer befrienders at the Waterside Cancer Support Centre in Hythe near Southampston. The centre is a completely self funded charity and they have all worked really hard to raise money, but can anyone recommend where the best place for interest purposes is to place this money??

If anyone is in the Southampton area, please google the Centre as it really is a great support to anyone affected by cancer.

Many thanks,

Maria

    welcome to the boards

Assuming the charity has a bank account, I'd advise handing any money raised over as soon as possible, even if you're expecting more.

If you're wanting advice on setting up a bank account, there are a couple of sticky threads about bank accounts on the Small Biz & Charity Organisers board, and even though it is a charity the same rules apply: what do you NEED from a bank account?
