Just did it myself and it came out with £88.34 too!

That is wrong as it says we are entitled to £114 CTC which is totally wrong too!

I would disregard whatever that says, or don't get your hopes up!

I notice it doesn't ask for what has been earnt in the last tax year like entitled to and the hmrc calculator does.

Something has gone wrong there as there is no way you would be entitled to £88.34 working tax credit.

Could that be the childcare element? Or did you put £0.00 for child care?

No, I didn't put anything for childcare as we don't need childcare.

It was just a Yes or No question for that anyway.

So if she goes back part time / 3 days per week, her income would be 10.7k plus my 28k, we come just under the 40k cut off and therefore get CTC?

Yes but only the family element of £545 and only till April 2012, after than probably nothing.

You may get a small amount of childcare help but it will be small and you'd probably be better of with vouchers.
