We use Barclaycard now but Allied Irish Bank via an American data handler and UK terminal supplier are offering better rates. Has anyone used them - they want 4 year contract

Is it worth seeing if Barclaycard will meet their rates to stop you defecting? Best of all worlds that way.
  • That was the next step but wanted info re AIB as a backstop

    Have you tried Cardsave?

Not sure I'd want to be tied into a 4 year contract with anyone for anything in business, I did sign up with BT for 3 years to get line installation costs down but wouldn't sign for more than 1 year for anything else.
  • Thanks paulwf. Will try Cardsave and then try negotiating with Barclaycard. Apart from being 4 year contracts you have to have 2 diff contracts, one with AIB for the processing (which is done by First data of USA) and another for the card machine - I prefer to have one supplier to shout at if it goes wrong not 3 under 2 contracts!
