It also goes on income as well as hours. So what income will you have from both jobs?0

£13,100pa on my own with two kids (15 and 13) privately renting _ I do get HB and a little CTB (council have told me at the moment I would be better off not working! Only on £5,900pa so the extra job would REALLY help!)0 -
Hey honey my boyfriend used to work for tax credits he asked are you paid an hourly rate whilst on call?or are you paid a retainer and then an hourly rate IF you go in? If you're paid hourly and work out an average then it would take you over the 30 element for WTC however if you're paid a retainer and don't hit the 30 hours a week mark then it might bring your WTC down as you'll be earning more money but effectively not working 30 hours. He can try and work it out properly for you but you need to tell him your annual income, hourly rate, if you pay childcare, if you live in a two person household as it's all these things that are taken into account...it's so complicated.... I think you just need to make sure you keep them informed of any change in circumstance as you don't want to be hit with a refund bill (not trying to scare you you're fine as long as you tell them as soon as something changes!!)
Hope it works out well hon and let me know if ya want him to try and work it out for ya or go onto the website as there's probably a calculator for you to work with.
Great on you ignoring the council and deciding to work it's so stupid of them to say that to everyone but you're teaching your kids such a great lesson!
MazA lot of fellows nowadays have a B.A., M.D., or Ph.D. Unfortunately, they don't have a J.O.B."0
